You are about to submit a form for booking your train ticket. Please read
the following policy very carefully before filling in the booking
form.

If you are flying in or to Thailand we DO NOT recommend
you try to take a train on the same day. Stay in your arrival city that
night and take a train the next day. If you arrive in the morning and want
to take a night train that should be OK. Remember that refunds cannot be
issued for missed trains. |

- If your booking date is more than 60 days (0r 30 days for short journeys) prior to the date of your train journey the tickets will be automatically queued and issued on the first possible date.
Your credit card will be debited for the total amount due. A non-refundable US$25 (or 15% of total due - whichever is greater) reservation fee
is collected if you cancel the ticket within 60 days of travel date.
- We are not responsible for any acts or omissions made by the State
Railways of Thailand including, delays, cancellations, industrial
action, civil strife or natural disasters.
- Each train ticket are reserved in the name of the passenger. All
names must be correctly given at the the time of booking.
- Unless otherwise stated journeys departing from Bangkok will be
from Hua Lumpong (central) station.
- You do not have to reconfirm your ticket.
- Arrive at the train station at least 30 minutes prior to departure
to give enough time to find the correct platform.
- Tickets are valid only for the specified train.
- The State Railway System of Thailand cannot reserve or hold
tickets (first come first served basis).
- We must receive full payment
before the ticket can be issued.

- Tickets cannot be picked up at train stations. State Railway of
Thailand does not have this service.
- If you want pick up the tickets in Thailand provide the full
postal address of the hotel or contact where you intend to stay. (If
you need a hotel we can help you. Please see our
online selection
for more details.
- If you choose to have tickets sent to a Bangkok hotel address we
will send them a few days prior to travel. If you need to receive them
at another time (eg you check into a Bangkok hotel 20 days prior to
travel, then go to the beaches) please let us know.
- Tickets should arrive in most countries within 7 working days.
Allow more time for remote areas. During holiday times they may take longer. In December the delivery
time may be 2 weeks or more. Please order early.

- It is your responsibility to check your tickets immediately upon
receipt and inform us if any details are incorrect or unclear..
*Courier
(DHL/TNT/FedEx), registered or Express Mail Service postage (EMS) rates
appear on the booking form and are in addition to the train fares posted.

The following
conditions apply when ordering tickets from Thaifocus
Once tickets have been issued and dispatched they
can only be changed (eg dates/times/class), or refunded, as follows;

Unused tickets are completely non-refundable if within 7 days of
departure.
-
You must send the tickets back to us by courier (at your
own expense).
-
We must receive these tickets 7 or more days prior to train
departure in order to make any changes or process any due refunds.

Tickets can be changed ONE time only. After this no changes are
permitted.

You must pay for new tickets and dispatch fee. When we receive
your tickets we will refund as follows;

Payment for tickets less 30% of full ticket fee + US$20 administration fee.
Prior to dispatch there is a minimum of US$20 changing fee.
- Refunds on tickets (8 days or more prior to departure) are less
50% of full ticket fee + postage + US$20 administration fee. Eg
(USD 100 paid - 50% - USD20 = refund amount of USD 30. We
must receive the unused ticket no less than 7 days prior to the
train departure date to process and refund.

We are not responsible for postal or courier losses of tickets.
(We will wait one day prior to dispatch of
tickets. Should there be no communication from you we will assume that
all details are correct.)

Lost or destroyed tickets are non-refundable.

Changes on Tickets are set at a minimum of US$20 per ticket per
change. Each sector eg Chiang Mai - Bangkok is printed on a
separate ticket, therefore a round trip ticket change will be
charged at US$20 x 2.

There are different rates for different classes, services and train
types. The most expensive ticket will be "Special Express" 1st class
sleeper. All quoted rates are per person. .
In some locations the train station is some distance from the town
center and, you could spend hours in a taxi just to get to the station.
Not cheap and certainly not convenient.
Just relax, plan your holiday from you home and contact us. We'll do
the rest. Let us do the queuing for you!
The train fares and rates posted in our website are not the same as
buying the tickets directly from the train stations in Thailand. They
represent the fares along with our reservation, admin and handling fees.
To obtain the station rates you are required to be in Thailand and spend
the time to get to the main stations in order to purchase the tickets.
We provide the following services that are not available from the
stations
- Internet booking - convenience of booking at home
- No language barriers
- No queuing up for tickets.
- Advice on alternative modes of transportation
- We can provide tickets up to 60 days in advance of travel.
- Tickets can be sent to any address in the world.
