National Park Highlights

Day 1.

  • 0725 Arrival at Chiang Mai train station, transfer to hotel.
  • 0935 Depart from hotel to Doi Inthanon National Park.
  • 1100 Slide presentation at visitors centre
  • 1215 Arrive at mountain peak, visit radar station perimeter, monument to King Inthanon and nature trail to sphamnum bog and rhododendron forest.
  • 1315 Box Lunch.
  • 1400 Embark on hike from check point 2 to Bahn Khun Klang tribal village for a medium standard hike
  • 1600 Drive down Doi Inthanon, visitors centre. Waterfalls etc.
  • 1830 Arrive at Hotel.

Day 2.

  • 0800 Departure to Mae Sa Elephant camp for show.
  • 11:00 Mae Sa waterfall
  • 1200 Mae Ram Orchid/butterfly farm
  • 1230 Lunch at orchid farm
  • 1400 Chiang Mai zoo
  • 1600 Doi Suthep temple
  • 18:00 Buffet dinner at the hotel
  • 2015 Transfer to Chiang Mai train station.

This type of short break can easily be arranged for a long weekend break.
