Eating and Food

Eating is a favoured pastime of locals and visitors alike. The food and venue's for the trip was chosen for nutritional value, taste and suitable surroundings. The camp-site barbecue was very popular with campers and many raved about the spring rolls at the elephant park.

On the camping section I was very proud of the Gem Travel staff who worked throughout the day from 5:00 am until past 7:00 pm preparing and cooking meals for the guests.

Food was of a high standard and selections suitable for Halal / Kosher / Vegetarians etc. We designed the serving layout so that those with special dietary restrictions could eat with their friends instead of having to dine at "special" tables.

Barbecue cooking at the camp-site

Buffet dinner at the hotel

School village and sumptuous barbecue

Simple kitchen facilities at the school still provide wholesome and tasty food.

Where visitors really made the difference!
